Two Questions You Can Ask Anywhere

The Talon Chat Agent sits inside the Skylit Terminal on every page. Press Cmd + \ and it opens wherever you are.

Two kinds of question always work, whatever you have on screen.

Anything about Skylit. Talon Chat answers from the same material the Academy is built on. "What is a King Node?" "What does a Gatekeeper mean for my entry?" "How does Velocity Mode work?" You do not have to be on the heatmap to ask about the heatmap, and you do not have to stop what you are doing to go read an article.

Anything about a ticker. Name a symbol and it pulls the live picture — the flow digest, the dark pool prints, the GEX and VEX levels, node freshness, put/call and max pain.

That alone changes the tempo of a session. The moment you hit a term you half-know, the answer is one keystroke away instead of a tab away.

And On the Heatmap, It Reads Your Screen

The second layer is where Talon Chat stops being a search box.

Open the Heatseeker heatmap and ask "what's the read?" — and the answer comes from the exposure structure currently rendered in front of you. Not an estimate of where the King Node probably is. The King Node that is on your screen, with its expiration, its distance to spot, and how old the reading is.

Talon Chat narrates the same read the platform computes. It does not re-derive levels, so the numbers in the answer are the platform's numbers.

That is the difference between "what is a Gatekeeper" and "what is gating SPX right now". The first is knowledge. The second is your session.

Where It Fits in the Workflow

You already know the discipline: charts first, thesis from price structure, then exposure to confirm or deny it.

Talon Chat fits at the confirm-or-deny step. You arrive at the heatmap with a directional idea and you need to know, quickly, whether the structure supports it.

Ask "what's the read?" and you get the posture, the King Node with its expiration and distance to spot, whatever Gatekeeper sits between spot and the nearest wall, the significant vanna levels, and how fresh the reading is.

The expiration is not a throwaway detail. A Gatekeeper on Friday's expiry and one three weeks out are different objects, and a level that thins after Tuesday has a shelf life. Talon Chat names the expiry on every level for that reason, and it will not put a near-dated gamma wall and a far-dated vanna level in the same breath — those are not the same edge.

What's the read?

Negative-GEX regime — dealers amplify moves, so structure favors acceleration rather than mean-reversion. The best setup the model can grade is a 1.1 RR into 7745, which sits below the 3:1 floor, so the read is a hard sit-out; defer to the chart for entry. The ceiling is 7800, 47 points above spot at 7753, with 7775 (48% of king) gating that level and 7745/7725 both gating the king at 7675 on the downside. No trade until structure improves or the chart gives you a cleaner setup.

Note what it did there. Asked for a read, it graded the best setup on the board at 1.1 R and refused it against the 3:1 floor — then still handed over the structure so you could work the chart yourself. It did not find you a trade because you asked for one.

What It Pulls on a Ticker

• Flow digest — net call and put premium, the dominant side, sweeps, implied volatility, expected move, open interest, and the top flows.
• Dark pool and block prints — worth reading alongside what a dark pool print does and does not tell you.
• GEX and VEX levels. Ask for VEX and you get VEX, or a clear statement that it is unavailable. You never get gamma relabelled as vanna.
• Node freshness — decay and volatility regime for specific strikes, on a scalp, day, swing, or position timeframe. The concepts are covered in node lifecycle.
• Put/call ratio and theoretical max pain.

Away from the heatmap it reaches further: the raw prints underneath the digest, earnings dates, sector peers, recent market news, and the tape — total premium, call/put ratio, and which tickers are carrying the session. On the heatmap the toolset is deliberately trimmed to structure and flow, so it stays on the map instead of wandering.

What Talon Chat Will Not Do

The refusals are the point. An assistant that answers everything confidently is worse than useless on a desk, because you cannot tell the good answers from the invented ones.

It will not call the outcome. Talon Chat states mechanics and conditional pressure — dealers tend to defend this level, a reclaim of that one would favor the upside. It does not say price will pin. The heatmap describes pressure, not destiny.

It will not talk you into a trade the structure does not support. When the read says sit out or defer to the chart, Talon Chat repeats that. It will not manufacture a setup because you asked for one.

It will not serve a stale reading. Every level carries an age. Near 0DTE, a reading more than about twenty seconds old gets caveated or refused outright — a stale gamma reading at expiry is worse than none.

It will not fill gaps with guesses. When a feed is degraded, Talon Chat leaves that dimension out entirely. And when the documentation does not cover a question, it says so rather than improvising an answer to sound helpful.

Getting More Out of It

Follow-ups work. Talon Chat carries the conversation, so "why?" and "go deeper on that level" resolve against what it just told you.

Ask for the consequence, not the definition. Talon Chat leads with the number and assumes you know what gamma is. "So what?" is a productive question.

Move between pages freely. Each question is stamped with the page it was asked on, so an earlier answer about one ticker will not bleed into a later one.

Expect short answers. On the heatmap, replies run a few sentences. That is deliberate — the panel is built to be read at a glance mid-session. If you want more, ask a narrower question rather than a bigger one.
