# Symbol catalog

`GET https://api.skylit.ai/v1/symbols`

API: Heatseeker.

Every symbol the API serves: whether it is an index, previous tickers
after a rename (still accepted as input), the metrics available, and
the UTC dates its history covers (`null` when coverage could not be
read). History dates are refreshed every few hours. Free.

## Authentication

Send your Skylit API key as a bearer token: `Authorization: Bearer <key>`. No other header is accepted.

Missing API key (`unauthorized`), sent by the gateway.

### 429

Per-minute rate limit exceeded.

Heatmap data is temporarily unavailable.
